Our dental assistant curriculum was written and designed by Dr. William Fulcher. This three-block program enhances the learning process through extensive hands-on training.
The 1st block takes place during weeks 1-4. Students learn in a classroom setting from Dr. Fulcher, clinical instructors, dental hygienists, and experienced dental assistants. Lessons focus on Anatomy, Radiology, Dental Charting, and Laboratory Techniques.
The 2nd block takes place during weeks 5-8. Students learn in a front desk setting how to use Dentrix, the nation’s #1 Dental Practice Management Software. We then transition into the dental lab area where dental assistant students begin their clinical hours by applying what they learned in the classroom and practicing correct equipment sterilization techniques, room set-up, taking x-rays, and assisting Dr. Fulcher in advanced dental procedures.
The 3rd block takes place during weeks 9-13. Students review and prepare for the required exams for certification, receive more clinical training, and complete a final performance review.
